A hand-cut silhouette in layered plywood, the border broken into scallops and spikes so the outline never settles into a shape you can name.
The face is a printed circle grid in oxide red, olive and bone, worn back to the grain in places. Faint compass marks are still visible in the pale panel at the top, left where they were drawn.
